* Saga Dawa 2009 and Long Life Ceremony for Rinpoche *
Nyingmapa Wishfulfilling Center will mark this year's Saga Dawa with a very auspicious 15-day puja from May 25 to June 7, 2009. Khetsun Sangpo Rinpoche and Tulku Jigme Rinpoche hope you will join us, here in Nepal.
The monks of Nyingmapa Wishfulfilling Center will perform the Yantig Ngakpo puja during the 15 days of Saga Dawa. The puja includes a tsok of 100,000 offerings. In addition, the fifteen day long ceremony will also contain special long-life prayers for the Venerable Khetsun Sangpo Rinpoche, our loving teacher and spiritual guide. The puja ceremonies will take place in Boudhanath inside the Great Stupa's main temple.
Rinpoche and Tulku Jigme-la encourage you to attend this auspicious and blessed event. Although the monks will perform the puja on a daily basis, while you are here you will want to spend time with Rinpoche here at the gompa, perhaps receive a teaching, and see the many holy sites in the Kathmandu Valley. You should not think you must attend the puja service every day, though you are welcome to do so if you please.
You may want to arrive prior to the start of the puja, arrive in the middle or stay once the puja is completed. In addition during the month of June, Dzongar Kyentse Rinpoche (among other things the director of the well-known movie, The Cup) is doing a series of teachings in Boudha, which you may also choose to attend.
Because this is a busy season in Nepal, we suggest you make plans to come as soon as possible. We are happy to help recommend guesthouses and assist you with suggestions.

Throughout the year a variety of programs at Nyingmapa Wishfulfilling Center are available to foreign students who are interested in enriching their Dharma studies and activities. Programs vary according to the time of the year and may even be individually tailored to the serious student. The following are examples of some of the programs currently available:
* Monthly Teaching Series *
Visit out website for a brief, monthly teaching on the Dharma. The Monthly Teaching Series (* Monthly Teaching Series *) does not replace a qualified teacher. Rather, our hope is that the basic teachings and Buddhist topics discussed will provide 'food for thought' to guide you through your daily life.
* Dharma Teachings at NWC *
The Venerable Khetsun Sangpo Rinpoche, Tulku Jigme Rinpoche, Lama Thadral, Khenpo Tamdin and Khenpo Tsering-la hold regular teachings at Nyingmapa Wishfulfilling Center for foreign students. * Pilgrimage to Kathmandu *
A unique, dharma-filled vacation to the many Buddhist sites located in the Kathmandu Valley. The Pilgrimage is designed to enhance one's spiritual path. It includes sessions with the Venerable Khetsun Sangpo Rinpoche, attendance at a puja at Nyingmapa Wishfulfilling Center and a prayer flag ceremony. Pilgrims will visit and learn the history of such places at the Boudhanath, Swayambu, Namo Buddha and Pharping.
